Hard-bound, manuscript notebook of first year confectionery lectures at the Scottish School of Bakery, Royal Technical College, Glasgow. The notebook is described on the front cover label as 'Book II'. The lecture notes are dated from 28 January 1948 to 17 June 1948, and include illustrations of various types of cakes, rendered in pencil and water colour.

The badge comprises the College crest in blue, white, gold and red, with the College motto, 'Mente et Manu', embroidered in black thread upon a white scroll below the crest. The badge is padded to give a raised effect and is affixed to a piece of navy blue woollen fabric.

Election literature including campaign leaflets, manifestos and publications produced by political parties for Scottish constituencies. Primarily covering all elections since the first Scottish Parliament election in 1999, there is also a selection of earlier donated material present.

20 volumes of lecture notes made by Alexander Porkess whilst a student at the Royal Technical College, Glasgow. The notebooks cover various subjects including mathematics, heat engines and natural philosophy. Many of the notebooks contain photographs, graphs and diagrams. There is also a copy of the thesis presented by Porkess for the Associateship of the Royal Technical College, August 1952. Also a bundle of notes, mainly examination questions and algebra, c. 1950s.

Architects' plans of the various buildings of the University of Strathclyde. Includes plans of the buildings on the University's Jordanhill campus.

Most of the collection comprises research notes and papers and article reprints arising from Professor Stenlake’s research into the design and synthesis of the drug atracurium besylate, the first short acting and readily reversible skeletal muscle relaxant for use in surgery. There are also papers relating to Stenlake’s teaching, lectures and administrative responsibilities as well as to his education and awards. There are also photographs of Stenlake and other University of Strathclyde staff.

This was a working collection built up by George Outram & Co for journalists at The Glasgow Herald, and formed the basis for trade supplements published by George Outram & Co from the 1950s to the 1970s. It comprises press cuttings; press releases; company literature and statistics; and photographs on various aspects of shipbuilding with particular emphasis on the Clyde Shipbuilding industry.
