Biographical history

Marjorie Cruickshank was lecturer in education at Jordanhill College from 1962 to 1966 and subsequently at the University of Keele. She was commissioned by the Scottish Council for Research in Education to write the definitive history of the training of teachers in Scotland, which was published in 1970. This updated the previous history published by Robert Rusk in 1928.
