The Association of Teachers of Speech and Drama (renamed the 'Association of Speech Therapists' in 1943) was one of two organisations that merged in 1945 to form the College of Speech Therapists.

The Remedial subcommittee papers include discussion of matters such as: lectures; correspondence; the amalgamation with the British Society of Speech Therapists; the Bulletin; applications for membership; finance etc.

Topics discussed include: funds and subscriptions; the Memorandum and Articles of Association; premises; diplomas in speech therapy; correspondence etc.

Also contains 2 copies of the agenda for the April 1945 Council meeting loose at the back.

Includes details of the address of the organisation, lists of principal officers and particulars of the secretary.
