The interviewee worked as a residential care worker in Edinburgh, Oxford and Birmingham between 1972 and 1979 before qualifying as a social worker. They discuss lack of training, naivety around abuse, colleagues, the school environments, coping with challenging behaviour, social work involvement and developments in residential care.
