Historique
The Committee of Ordinary Managers was responsible for the ordinary administration of the affairs of the institution subject to the control of the trustees.
The committee held its first meeting on 26 March 1796. It met once a month.

There were nine managers, elected annually from the trustees. They elected annually a president, and a treasurer and secretary to provide administrative support. Subcommittees were appointed to attend to property, apparatus, books, accounts and regulations of classes and fees.
