The Personnel Office was established in 1990. It was the responsibility of the Secretary. In 2007, it was renamed Human Resources.

The Finance Office was established in 1990. It replaced the office of Bursar. It was responsible for the day to day financial administration of the University. It was responsible, through the Secretary, for preparing annual revenue and capital budgets and other financial plans; preparing accounts and management information in respect of all financial operations; monitoring expenditure against budgets; preparing the University's financial statements; ensuring that the University maintained staisfactory financial systems; and providing professional advice on all matters relating to financial policies and procedures.
The Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities Officers Training Corps was created in 1965 following a merger of the Glasgow University Officers Training Corps and the University of Strathclyde Officers Training Corps.
The Officers Training Corps provided a link between the armed services and the universities, giving an opportunity for students to see how the armed services operated. It also gave basic military training to students considering joining the Regular and Territorial Armies.
Any student at any College of Further Education in Glasgow (Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities, Paisley Technical College, Jordanhill, Notre Dame, Glasgow College of Technology and Building) was elible to join the Officers Training Corps.
The Continuing Education Committee replaced the Extension Studies Committee. Its remit was to co-ordinate the University's activities in the field of continuing education.
In 1967, the Senate appointed the Extension Studies Committee to co-ordinate the University's activities in the field of adult education. In 1978, it was replaced by the Continuing Education Committee.
The Alumni Relations Office was created in 1986 to form a common boundary between the students, staff and alumni of the University of Strathclyde, the Royal College of Science and Technology, the Royal Technical College and the Scottish College of Commerce.
In 1994, it was replaced by the Alumni Affairs and Development Office.
Charles Barker & Sons Ltd undertook public relations work on behalf of the University of Strathclyde between 1966 and 1969.
The Cultural Activities Advisory Committee encouraged the Arts at the University of Strathclyde. It reported to Court.
The Arts Festival Sub-Committee organised the Strathclyde University Arts Festival.
The Architectural Craftsmen's Society was established in 1896 for architecture and building students. Its object was the mutual improvement of members in all matters relating to architecture and building by the reading and discussion of papers on appropriate subjects, the visiting of buildings and the exhibition of members' sketches and drawings. In 1957, it changed its name to the Architecture and Building Society.
The Chemical and Metallurgical Society was founded in 1889. It organised meetings, film shows and visits. It also produced an annual journal. In about 1922, it changed its name to the Metallurgical Club.
