Historique
The Scottish School of Physical Education (initially known as the Scottish School of Physical Education and Hygiene) was established at Jordanhill College of Education in Glasgow in 1931. It was the only training centre for male teachers of physical education in Scotland and there was fierce competition for places. Its diploma-holders consequently enjoyed a reputation for excellence. It closed in 1990.
