History
Dr Morrison studied history at the University of Strathclyde from 1997 to 2001, completing a dissertation on ‘Coalworkers’ pneumoconiosis: the "black death" of the mining Industry, 1920-1970’. Her M.Phil. thesis (2003, University of Glasgow / University of Strathclyde) focused on ‘Silicosis: establishing the principle, 1880-1939'. In 2007 she completed a doctorate on ‘The silicosis experience in Scotland: causality, recognition and the impact of legislation during the twentieth century’ at Glasgow Caledonian University.
Since 2010 she has been affiliated with the Scottish Oral History Centre, University of Strathclyde, as a researcher and oral history teacher. She is also an oral history consultant.
