He feels unable to continue the school in his desired way due to lack of money and feels he has received no recognition for his work. 'I hate the English duplicity and hypocrisy - I can work for the boys because they are not yet corrupted. The "grown ups" have already been ruined'. Expresses his concern regarding the risk of losing students by being away from Abbotsholme School too long.
