The contents of the calendars changes gradually over time but generally includes key dates in the academic year; lists of Board of Governors and Committees of Governors; lists of academic staff and administrative staff; the history and constitution of the College; details of new buildings; regulations concerning the admission of students; details of the scheme of affiliation with Glasgow University; courses of study; fees; the Diploma and the Associateship of the College; information about the laboratories, museum and library; timetables and syllabuses of day classes and evening classes; information about Glasgow School of Architecture (list of staff, history of School, courses, enrolment of students, fees, general regulations); ordinances and regulations of Glasgow University and Edinburgh University; list of bursaries and scholarships; list of prizes awarded; list of appointments gained by students; statistics; donations to the library; examination papers; lists of relevant classes at other institutions (Glasgow University, Glasgow Athenaeum and Glasgow School of Art); students’ societies; prospectus of Allan Glen’s School.

NB Publication of the calendars was suspended in 1940 due to the war. It was not resumed again until after the Royal College of Science and Technology became the University of Strathclyde.
