The review was conducted by the Quality Assurance Agency for Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Funding Council, and was undertaken by each higher education institution in Scotland every five years. The University of Strathclyde's first review was held in 2005. The second was completed in 2010.
The review focused on the continual improvement of the student learning experience and how the University monitored, reviewed and shared best practice in learning and teaching. It considered the learning experiences of all students studying for a University of Strathclyde qualification.
