Correspondence with experts and journalists, July-August 2006, re Y Suzuki & S R Yuen (2001) ‘Asbestos tissue burden study on human malignant mesothelioma’. Nancy Tait attempted to establish why the study appeared to have been ignored by asbestos ban advocates. The background were news reports in the summer of 2006, responding to the Labour government's U-turn on its controversial scheme to force home sellers to produce home information packs (HIPs).

Correspondence and papers re application for a Department of Health Section 64 grant. The application was for £68,100, spread out over a three year period. The grant was 'for central administrative costs'. Includes a draft of the application.

The application was successful.

S64 of the Health Services and Public Health Act 1968 provided power for the Secretary of Health to make grants to voluntary organisations in England whose activities support the Department of Health's policy priorities.
