Contains both detailed medical and legal information, and ephemera including Christmas cards and correspondence relating to donations. Includes copies of death certificates. Also photocopies of literature sent.

Nancy Tait taught herself about asbestos, then proceeded to produce her own literature on the subject. These texts often were self-published and usually written by Nancy Tait herself. But the literature to which Tait contributed included also scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals. Of the earliest of these, no trace has been found in the collection. The piece in question is J S Gilson, N Tait, J Zussman, and R G Burns (1977) 'Medicine and mineralogy and discussion', Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London, A, 1336. 286 (1336): 585–592.

Originally this aggregation was dedicated to fielding enquiries from solicitors in pursuit of health-related personal injury claims.

Over the years OEDA staff took to filing all solicitors' correspondence here, including their fundraising activities on behalf of the charity, the (at times rather hefty) booklets and other promotional material distributed by law firms, correspondence re solicitors' contributions to the OEDA newsletter, and so forth.

Correspondence and papers (including press coverage) relating to the administration of global manufacturer of automotive & vehicle safety products Federal Mogul's chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. Federal Mogul had acquired the international asbestos manufacturer Turner & Newall in 1998. In 2001, Federal Mogul sought chapter 11 protection in the US and Administration under the Insolvency Act 1986 in the UK.

Correspondence is chiefly with solicitors, also with Greater Manchester Asbestos Victims Support Group (GMAVSG).
