Personal and humorous. Enquires after Anna Geddes and informs her she had just written to her at Alastair’s in Helensburgh, without realising Mrs. Geddes must already be in Dundee. Despite being very busy and having to work very hard, she took one month’s holiday to travel to Toulouse, Clairac and Bordeaux, which she enjoyed very much. Mentions Alice Rives, the Bonple, the Stapfer and the Charmont families. Mentions reading ‘The Life of Pasteur’ by Valery. Tells Mrs. Geddes of a busy schedule of conferences in Montpellier that make it difficult for her to manage all her projects.
