The collection appears to comprise legal, estate and financial records of the Leith Buchanan Family and their antecedents. The documents, mainly from the 18th and 19th centuries, relate to land and property in the area around Drymen. Although most refer to title deeds and the purchase or transfer of property, some documents list rents paid and crops grown on the family estates, and a few list the debts owed by individuals, perhaps at the time of their death.
