His attempts to find accommodation and conference space at Exposition. Remarks on position in relation to Transvaal, requests news of the 'Nature Study Conference'.

Gives list of instructions and information relating to Outlook Tower activities.

With reference to Marr's efforts to obtain accommodation, conference space and finance for Paris Exposition, and requests payment of salaries. Gives details of alternative sites. Personal references to M. Delvolvé, Choublier [ ] Millerand, Picard, [Edward] McGegan and [John] Ross.

Remarks on benefit of sympathisers found within the British Association. With reference to practical and administrative arrangements for Paris Exposition. Marr lists necessary tasks to be carried out in London and Paris. Stresses necessity of 'draft prospectus' being finished. Reference to 'The British and American Assembly' being 'a big thing - big enough to frighten us'. In Marr's view, there is a need for Patrick Geddes to be aware of 'a distinct recognition of our own limitations'. Reference to [John] Ross.

Advises signed agreement enclosed [not extant], signed by Marr and amended by [John] Ross. Further details of Marr's attempts to secure conference and accommodation space at Exposition. Marr suggests using a large barge as a Conference Centre, converting it and mooring it on the Seine, includes illustrative diagram. Reference to P.I.A. and the need for an automobile.

Further arrangements for accommodation and conference space for Exposition. Suggestion of space in or near Trocadero. Reference to M. Delvolvé, [ ] Choublier, Maurice Caudel, Octave Greard, Louis Liard, Ernest Lavisse, Alfred Espinas, Caen. The title, 'International Association for Advancement of Scientific Associations', has been accepted.
