Mentions Dr MacGregor and his view that the aluminium company will be advantageous to Highlanders. That Lord Kelvin has been bought by the company and will not oppose. Her attempts to delay the company proceeding with works. Brief description of the winter weather and that she is unable to travel to Edinburgh due to a sprained ankle.
