The ceremony took place at Kelvin Hall, Glasgow and includes the installation of Lord Todd of Trumpington as first Chancellor and ceremony for honorary graduands Lord Adrian of Cambridge, Sir Robert Robinson, Sir David S Anderson, Sir Edmund Hirst, Rt Hon Frank Cousins, Sir Peter Meldrum (Lord Provost) and Clark Kerr.
