Discusses thoughts on Geddes' report on Abbotsholme School and suggests the focus required for the real improvement of the school. Suggests that there should be a number of versions of the report, a full private one and another to be distributed to parents. Requests brief statements in connection with domestic side, clothing, health, dining, organisation of teaching, time table, curriculum and so on. Describes his travel movements. Under heading 'Private', Reddie outlines his desperate financial situation and mental health. He feels unable to continue the school in his desired way due to lack of money and feels he has received no recognition for his work. 'I hate the English duplicity and hypocrisy - I can work for the boys because they are not yet corrupted. The "grown ups" have already been ruined'. Expresses his concern regarding the risk of losing students by being away from Abbotsholme School too long.

Encloses plans of the Upper and Lower Gardens at Abbotsholme [not extant] and requests advice relating to the garden. Requests help to source a gardener and a new master to take English, Geography, History, Language and Literature due to the departure of Mr. Douglas

Memorandum regarding the outline programme for Patrick Geddes to undertake the inspection and examination of Abbotsholme School. Outlines the programme for the week covering a general overview, tour of estate and buildings, study of curriculum, syllabus, rules, and recently completed examinations and papers, and observation of teaching. Reddie advises that he must be in London for part of the during of Patrick Geddes' visit as he is meeting with Mr. Parkin, Lord Thring, Haldane and others. Annotated by Geddes on back of final page, with a list of names, Reddie, Adshead, Baldini, Deakin, Bolton, Gage-Brown, Tebbutt, Hewi, Wall, Millar and Arlowski.
