Discusses and requests payment of outstanding debts which include rent of the Assembly Room at the 5 Henrietta Street, postage costs, and commission on the sale of an article. Advises that a desk has been claimed in lieu of part of the debt. Agrees to forward any communications to Geddes and to deal with inquiries and small friendly offices. Agrees to consider the question of lectures and advises will be in Glasgow in September for the Peace Congress. Confirms the rejection by 'Fortnightly', 'New Liberal', 'Monthly Review' and the 'Contemporary' of an article on the Indian University. Mention of Mr John Ross.

Advises Patrick Geddes that he is editing Crampton's Magazine and suggests a mutually beneficial arrangement whereby Geddes should purchase advertising space on behalf of the Glasgow Assembly and write an explanatory article of his present work and general schemes for inclusion. Refers to payment of costs in relation to Geddes' V.R.I. article and attempts to get Geddes' Indian Universities Article published. Agrees to send Geddes details of the Peace Congress.

Advises Edward Ginn of Boston is taking Perris out lecturing in Boston, requests Geddes to advise Mathieson to advise Ginn that he will speak with Ginn personally. Confirms contact details whilst he is to be in the USA.
