  1. Encloses a copy of a draft memorandum [extant] regarding the University Hall of Residence, Chelsea, and a copy letter [extant] he received from Noel P.W. Brady concerning the memorandum. John Ross disagrees with Brady’s view of limiting the University Hall only to undergraduates.

  2. Enclosed draft memorandum concerning the University Hall of Residence, Mores Garden, Chelsea and Crosby Hall, Chelsea, detailing eligibility, facilities and accommodation capacity. Highlights the need for a new adjoining building at Crosby Hall to accommodate more students and the costs involved for such a scheme.

  3. Enclosed copy letter from Noel P.W. Brady, London, to John Ross, London, 27 April 1911.
    Acknowledges receipt of John Ross’ letter of the 25th of April and its enclosure. Disagrees with the eligibility criteria and believes the projected amount needed for the design of an adjoining building at Crosby Hall is unrealistic. Mentions John Burns.

Writes in connection with Crosby Hall and a letter from Mrs. Barrington which appeared in the ‘Kensington News’ issue of 25 April and contained a number of inaccuracies. John Ross refers to Patrick Geddes’ reply which made corrections to Mrs. Barrington’s letter and was published in the ‘Times’ on 21 April. Ross also refers to a letter from the Secretary of the Chelsea Association which appeared in the times on 23 April and which disproves Mrs. Barrington’s points.
