Portrait photograph with the subject in left profile, seated, and wearing the robes of the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland. Inscribed in black ink on the bottom-right corner of the mount are the words: 'With all best regards [,] y[ou]rs faithfully [,] John Marshall Lang'. There is also an illegible inscription, in pencil, on the reverse of the mount.
