James Muil Leitch was a member of the Gas Identification Service during the 1939-1945 war. These are his notes of lectures delivered by Professor W.M. Cumming, senior gas advisor, Scotland to members of the Gas Identification Service. They also contain reports on laboratory experiments performed by Leitch in the Central Gas Laboratory at the Royal Technical College, Glasgow and training exercises staged in the area.
