The Scottish Hotel School Library comprised antiquarian reference works on cookery and wine, as well as modern lending stock on subjects relating to catering and business for the use of its students and staff. From 1967, J. Malcolm Allan of the Andersonian Library had oversight of the Scottish Hotel School Library. His supervision was largely exercised from a distance, but included two personal visits to Ross Hall each year. The Library remained at Ross Hall until 1982, when the Hotel School moved into the Curran Building on the main University of Strathclyde campus. Its stock was then transferred to the Andersonian Library and gradually integrated into the collection there, with the antiquarian books being designated as a special collection.
