Immediate source of acquisition or transfer
The books were transferred from the architecture department and Royal Technical College library to form the Architecture Collection. A multi-volume set of 'Description de l'Egypte' (Paris, 1809-1822), formerly of the House of Lords Library, was donated to the repository in 1988 by the National Library of Scotland.
