History
The Scottish Science and Technology Forum was established in about 1981. It was one of several Science and Technology Regional Organisations (SATRO) in the UK. The purpose of the SATRO network was to promote a positive attitude to industry and to initate effective interaction between education and business, predominantly in the areas of science, engineering and technology. In 1988, the Forum changed its name to the Strathclyde Science and Technology Forum.
