The author apologises for not having managed to see Miss Weir before she left, and extends his or her best wishes and sincere thanks for all her efforts in the laboratory: 'We valued your work very much indeed, as it was always so thoroughly and conscientiously done, and I know how much the Managers in the Production Departments appreciated your work for them. In recent years the lab. has been increasingly useful in solving problems and maintaining regularity, and Mr. Harrow tells me that you have been most useful in this development.'
